Description: | Spiral Quiral Downgrade is what it says, a downgrade to the original Spiral Quiral hack I released back in 2010-11. The stages get progressively longer the more you advance; and with that, bosses are made much harder to beat as well as they have their own custom musics. So what is different to the original? The levels have been made much shorter to the original, and with that, only being able to use up to 4-5 different music channels. The palettes themselves only have 64 colors to choose from, think of it as playing the hack on an older console. |

-Party Palace is a bit ridiculous for where it is. The level's clearly not designed with being in any state but small, especially given the invincible spike run where every gap is 2 tiles high at MAXIMUM- this makes it very difficult to get through unharmed as big mario. And you even gave a Mushroom at the very start of it. Why???? On top of that, there's a pretty tough jump over spikes at the end of the first room where you have to control your bounces off Note Blocks. Even for Small Mario, it's a bit difficult. Though at least repeatable with relative ease once you figure out the trick! On the second half of the level, you start with a potential blind jump if you go up the vine, and then shortly after, there's a blind drop where pits await you if you don't fall straight down. Make sure people can tell what's going to await them after a fall!
-The palettes are hit-and-miss overall. Some are good, some are bad. Globally, the ? Block palettes look a little seary since you made the second-lightest color seem a bit darker than the color that should be darker than that! This flows into the Koopas and Goombas as well. It's not a good combo on the eyes. For more specific instances, have a few pictures I took:
-You can't tell the ground from the background very easily here. On that note, that applies to the second half of Party Palace, too- the Balloons look like they should be solid on top, but they're not, they're just part of the background. It's of utmost importance that players can tell the difference between the background area and the playing field!
-The color of the ground is very, very bright here. You may want to tone it down.
