Description: ColonThree is currently the worlds longest pit hack. While creativity and uniqueness was prioritised over sheer difficulty, it is still widely considered to be one of the hardest Super Mario World hacks ever made. Featuring shelljumps, walljumps, block duplication, keyjumping, and corner clipping to name a few, ColonThree is bound to prove a challenge to any TASer, and poses an absurd level of difficulty when it comes to optimisation.

The hack consists of 1 "level" with many rooms, followed by a boss level, featuring an excruciating caped flying level in which the player must juggle a mushroom all the way to the end of the room. Only after doing so will they be able to face the boss; ColonThree.

There is a bonus level after the boss fight, but the difficulty is substantially easier and not considered to be required in "beating the game", as far as playthroughs or TAS's are concerned.

Aided by a vague storyline with appropriate cutscenes, updated palettes and scenery, and plenty of brutally frame perfect puzzles, the player is sure to feel accomplished if/when they defeat ColonThree.

Appreciate the praise guys <3 This is my first (and so far only) hack ever so I'm glad people rate it so highly, and the acknowledgement of the difficult parts which may not seem too difficult from the video makes me very glad. For me, the double key juggling in the third level, the part at 10:16 in my tas video, the invincibility boost at 18:15, and the mushroom clip at the beginning of the ghost have all have much less room for error than the video suggests. I also suspect that the mushroom clip, being a relatively unknown glitch, may be the reason that ColonThree has yet to be tased in its entirety, so I look forward to a full completion some day :)

These Pit Mods really are fast :D

This is a masterpiece. The hack is huge for the pit kind, and never gets boring. The rooms are very creative, and the difficulty is probably the highest from its time, maybe surpassed only by Item Abuse 3. The hack is beautiful and well designed. 5/5 stars from me.
Watching a video of it is already amazing, but by playing the hack I found there is a lot of ''hidden'' difficult parts, that maybe you wouldn't notice only with the encode. If you have a good understatement of the game mechanics and experience with difficult hacks, I recommend playing this. It's a great challenge.

the guy probably gave it a 1/5 because the hack is pit. People these days.

Use a more recent version of Snes9X and you'll see the flashing.

Could whoever gave it 1 star give me some feedback as to why they thought it deserved 1 star? Otherwise it's pretty uncool to rate it that for no reason.

Snes9x 1.43

Which emulator do you use? It flashes on my Snes9X.

@Luansilva12 that's strange, it doesn't flash on my emulator.

niko:
Pit hacks started to get accepted as of a few days ago now, hopefully for good. Don't worry that Bruno Visnadi and Amaraticando are up to the task now that they got hired!

@niko Bruno Visnadi and Amaraticando have been added for this task.

i think pit hacks will not be accepted at time because there are no pit hack testers anymore?
