Accepted as it is binary identical to the github release.
An english version of the README has been added inside the zip.

Here's an English readme I did by myself, using the previous English readme as a base: Download

Uh... so why is it detecting as a virus on my computer? For context, my OS is Windows 10, and other people seem to be having the same issue on their computers with Windows 10 as well.

I have reported the file to Microsoft for false positive, and now it has been solved (at least with the default Microsoft Defender). You can try to redownload it.

(fyi you can also report false positive yourself here)

If you cannot play SPCs of certain old ports at all (especially those with high echo buffer settings), go to 'Settings/Expansion Flags' and disable 'SNES Echo/FIR Method'.

I have updated the readme with the unofficial english documentation of the SPC player, to help people not used with the tool get used with it.

Other than that, it's working as expected on Windows 10.

It may just be my environment, but sometimes the echo does not work properly.
It would be great if you could fix it!

A bug was caught with emulating echo buffer volume overflows from the FIR coefficients (at least it no longer stops playback) that most noticeably affected Cover29 of Super Famicompo 3. Thus, I reported the bug in question there: https://github.com/dgrfactory/spcplay/issues/37

At first when I tried using this in WINE, I got error 306. According to their error code page, this is a driver issue. And the WINE error, which I observed by starting this from the terminal, was apparently error 0x80004005. The sound issue was fixed for me by installing the packages lib32-alsa-plugins, lib32-libpulse, and lib32-openal using pacman (I use an Arch-based distro). If you install the equivalent packages for your distro, hopefully it'll work for you as well. I'm writing this so it's more convenient for others to use this software in the future on Linux with WINE.

The version currently on here may not work with songs that deliberately try to overflow the FIR coefficients... such as a couple of my own pieces of music, actually, the second one made with none other than my own fork of AddMusicK, AddMusicKFF. And I don't even crash the sound driver (or audio) in the process of doing so!

I reported this on Github and there's a prerelease version that fixes the bug, albeit I retroactively realized that there was a safety feature in there that prevents volume levels from going out of control.

Duly noted, the issue is finally fixed in the newest version (v2.18.3) and I'll be submitting it to the website soon, if I have enough time.

If it's stuck in Japanese for you, change LANGUAGE1 in spcplay.ini from 1 to 0. That switches it back to English.

Going down 3 stars because the font's garbage for me and for some reason it isn't on the screenshot.

Is it in Japanese?

Oh wait... it's in Japanese.
