I got skill issue'd so hard in this hack lol, decided to try out an intermediate Kaizo for the first time and oh boy, did this take a very long time for only 15 levels (about 30 hours?, sorry I'm bad ). The hack's quality is mostly pretty good, but there's quite some jank here and there. I really disliked the Escape from Hell level, since I needed to go purposefully way slower than I wanted to, which just wasn't fun at all. Ultra Star was insane after the checkpoint, going in the same direction as Escape from Hell, needing to delay basically almost all of your jumps to barely make it slow enough. All other levels were quite cool tho, pretty good for a somewhat old hack.

One of the better hacks of 2017 even with the 72 million outlined kaizo blocks, some hard to read setups, and other minor jank. Good shit NeXus

Pretty new to kaizo and smw hacks in general, but I'm loving this one for its creativity, accessibility, and pacing.

This was the most fun I've had playing a kaizo hack yet. I play on console without states and it never got frustrated me like other hacks have in the past. IMO much more enjoyable than the other well known kaizo roms out there. GG Nexus!

I'm playing through this hack at the moment and am enjoying it alot. The retry patch is perfect for those of us who like to play on console/without states.

Personally, this felt like one of the best kaizo hacks in recent memory. You used lots of gimmicks, that I've never seen before and other creative means to challenge the player.
The only thing I don't really understand is why recent Kaizo hacks feel like using the retry patch... not like I'm gonna play this savestate less you know?

Great hack overall! It stems up with a difficulty in the style of Kaizo Mario and then from the middle onwards is where it picks up. The only really minor issues come from sprite limitations (when the bubble pops and the goomba inside becomes invisible in the credits level).
The retry system is a cool addition, although I don't like how it doesn't display the death music once you choose to die rather than to retry. Then again, that's just a personal nitpick. And I'd keep it as a light kaizo hack mostly due to it not asking as much like in a hard kaizo hack in the first levels. Keep it up!

Visuals are really interesting, it's just enough so you feel something different and cool, but not at a point where it's too much are not SMW anymore.
Difficulty seems well balanced too, Kaizo Light seems to be it.
Recommended for people who look for a Kaizo hack.

Interesting and fun hack. At least up until the first door in "Smashing Water" which leads to level 0 so I can't progress any further. Unless I change it myself but that's not the point.
