Level design not inspired, graphics basics and not that well put. A succession of tight jump just for the sake of it isn't good difficulty.
And before saying it's beatable without savestates, do it yourself, because you obsviously haven't.
I haven't even touched the game yet, and I see a lot of Cement Block spam. Is that still a thing? Or has it been changed since? Because not going to lie, that looks pretty ugly, and it half-deters me from wanting to play it.
I apologise for taking so long. Kaizo isn't my department to begin with, but I was attracted by the description, which mentions the hack being possible to be beaten without savestates.
This holds true for the first few levels, but it didn't take me long to run into trouble. While I thought [one of the first levels] FIREBALL RUN 2.0 is a really fun kaizo take on the SMW Remix level, those jumps ruined it for me a little. Everything else in the level is energetic and fast-paced and you randomly have those very precise jumps in between.
I wouldn't mind it too much if the issue didn't get worse. The next level, Crack Forest, is basically precise maneuvering between death blocks, and after that segment there's a very mean sequence of quick rope hops with a lot of kaizo traps. Which brings me to my one other issue with this hack - the levels are sometimes too much. I could've used a midpoint, or an earlier midpoint, or multiple midpoints in a lot of them.
Lengthy kaizo levels aren't an issue if they're well designed... and what's the most unfortunate for me is that for the most part, they actually are - you came up with some really fun level segments in many, many parts of your hack, but there's always one or two little parts that are just not fun only because they're so precise and so much more difficult than everything that surrounds them. Some of your screenshots (2 and 3 in particular, and there are worse instances of what's seen in screenshot 4) even give these away. And there's those levels that just don't know when to stop (I think the first part of the second half of Cool stuff is just so great, but when you realise there's even harder trickery coming up right after it...). That said, there are also some levels that are just very bad in general (Bowser's Castle is really terrible - did you really have "savestateless" in your mind when you designed those disco shell hops?).
Keep in mind that this is a review from the point of view of someone who didn't want to use tools. And I have to say, I don't really recommend this hack for toolless kaizo players. But I guess it does its job otherwise. I don't think hacks that are meant to be played with tools are all that special, but this can actually be quite fun if you take that approach. And hey, there's the first four or so levels that are pretty fun to do without tools, and a few others a bit deeper in. So it may be kinda worth it.
I think you have a lot of potential and I'd like to see you try kaizo again sometime.
