Tip: If you give a Muncher tile custom graphics, it will still act like a coin when a silver P-switch is active, whether it looks like a coin or not. So make sure to use ExAnimation if there's a silver P-switch in the area.
Don't worry, Dark level will be updated and if castle is "easy", I'll remove switch blocks (restoring old level). And... no, I'll try to complete it. It's just all about waiting... (And I plan on releasing 2nd demo, because I don't want to make players wait too long for just finished product).
All right,I think that basically,this hack will never be completed.I see that,there are too many worlds to develop,too many secret levels to be designed in too way different ways...I'll surely wait some years because there...the levels are good,fun,hard even if unbalanced sometime(Castle 1 much more easier than some previous levels,for example)but the secret level,is FAAAAAAR more tough than any level of world 1:the part with the Mario'stunning is too hard and a little buggy,it requires some modifications in my opinion.
And Castle 1...is too short,the saw is initially a genious thing...then go down to a wasted idea...
for me,is 4 stars because I think Castle should be the non-plus ultra of any single World(secret levels aside)and the secret level is a great idea,but bad development on it.
I think that was a bad idea to release already,even if you can receive some useful feed here.I rarely play a Demo,I wish to became an hack and finish it after weeks or months...and this will be quite a long hack,if comopleted...so,the long waiting for many players,it could be a bad thing...
Go to make some alliance with other hack developers,otherwise this project,probably'll go into his bad end...
Has a few interesting parts here and there, but quite a few sloppily designed parts too. In particular, I didn't like the sections that were just repetitive precision muncher jumps. There's nothing particularily interesting or fun about them. The difficulty curve is p wonky too, with the castle being one of the easiest levels and the secret area level being a huge difficulty spike.
Speaking of the secret area level, the second half should honestly be removed in the next version. The whole premise of stunning the player every other second is bad and makes for inherently frustrating gameplay. The part with the two spinning platforms takes forever to line up and is nearly impossible to do without damageboosting. The part with the hammer brother after it is equally ridiculous. I was hoping you'd expand on the limited time on/off switch gimmick from the first half instead.
Also, you should probably get a spell checker for your message boxes.
