When the camera goes up as you go (for example, when you jump on a block), everything is fine. But when the camera doesn't follow (like, if you spin on an enemy and the circle gets off-screen), then the circle is cut. Going off-screen cuts the circle of view.

How would you make it a different shape? Do you mean that it would look like a beam gradually getting larger, starting from Mario?

Hi! this looks really cool, but I was wondering a few things, is there a way to make the light in a different shape? like to make it look like Mario is actually holding a flashlight? and would it point where Mario's looking? like left or right, up or maybe even crouching?
