Tip: Avoid "item babysitting". Do not force the player to drag P-Switches or springboards all around the level. This is not fun, nor does it make for interesting "puzzles".
This tool will try to remove a patch you previously applied to your ROM.
Patches it did successfully remove when I tested it:
- Wallkick patch
- Retry system
- Better platforms
- DKC Status Bar (Except for the mario gfx dma patch included, the tool can not fully remove that one since it's "apply once" code)
Read the readme for usage and known patch types the tool can not remove as well as what to keep in mind when using the tools features.
Unlike previously removed unpatching tools this one uses asar's getwrittenblocks feature to get the changes a patch made rather than basing it off of difference found between a "before patch" and "after patch" ROM and trying to reverse that.
I not erasing the patch that completely ruined the hack :-/
now i tried it in another hack with the patch of retry system and now the rom doesn't open, it comes out the title of nintendo presents but after that the game stays in black and doesn't run
This helped me not have to do soooo much tedious work a 2nd time. Instead I was able to unpatch a incompatible patch that was having problems with AddmusicK. Thank you so much!
Tested on my VWF Dialogues Patch and seemed to work fine. Very promising.
Also updated the file, because Readme erroneously mentioned an -unfile parameter, which is actually called -unpatch.
