Hold X to Item Swim
2018-03-05 09:07:36 PM
Level, Game Mode
While underwater, makes Mario act like he's holding an Item by holding X.
Intended purpose is for water levels, to make him Item-Swim without an item.
Also has the effect of letting him regular swim while holding an item (when not holding X).

Works nicely, but holding item with Y uses wrong mario pose when walking underwater on the ground: https://ibb.co/rMGbWnh

Good! I donít like levels that are slow. Most hacks that uses water level are often short in terms of length, while air levels are longer, which sums up about “tedious” stage progression.

Indeed, makes water levels a lot more enjoyable. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the button is not configurable - I would have liked to maybe use Y instead of X. But IMO that's not a rejection reason, although if you submit an update that fixes that I'll accept it. Also made SA-1 compatible (i didn't test it with SA-1 though).

You singlehandedly saved water levels. Congratulations!
