Details for Addictive Drums Metal Drumkit
BRR Samples - Addictive Drums Metal Drumkit Show random
File Name: Addictive Drums Metal Drumkit
Authors: LupineDream
Collection: Compilation
Description: This instrument bank for AddMusicK contains most if not all samples that would fit into a halfway decent General MIDI soundfont bank. Its a meaty drum bank with a lot of metal and rock punch at a decently small size (average 2.3kb over the whole directory)

It was converted raw from XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2 Producer Edition's "Metal" drumkit. Reverb and overhead room effects where turned off for clean sampling. Samples where cropped and compressed to fit nicely under 1-7kb each. (but a lot of 1kb goodies in here)

A resampling trick was used to encode them at 8000hz, but play them at the native 16000hz, preserving length but decreasing filesize and placing the tuning value one octave lower.

Due to the unavoidable, crash and ride cymbals ended up being the biggest samples in the archive. Recommended to only use 1 at a time and stick with your favorite. (5kb-7kb)

The kit itself has a very smooth modtracker feel I really like. I'm happy with the result.

Tuning information is provided. If you want sample tuning to general MIDI channel 10 specification, that's extra. :-P

Enjoy ~!

Those are some of the weakest snares I've heard lol.
Either the samples weren't normalized or the amplitude was aggressively reduced on brr conversion.

I do think the hihats and cymbals are well done (personally I'd loop the crashes.) Though this submission is one of a kind and it seems you're pioneering something... #smrpg{<3}
