Tip: Take advantage of easy to install Patches in your hack. The No More Sprite Tile Limits or SA-1 patches should be considered if you're encountering glitches where Mario and/or sprites are turning invisible.
This game, made by me, the incredible Aguni_ and dedicated to the supreme leader Kim Jong-Ryukahr is intended to be beginner friendly! and it actually is, that's the best part. If you're new to kaizo and are looking for some friendly kaizo hacks this is exactly what you're looking for.
Remember the old super ryu world 1? well, me neither, but now i bring you all this hot new version with hot level design, awesome custom graphics and banging custom music.
The game has a total of 14 exits if you include the final castle.
So this is the first Kaizo romhack I tried and having a blast so far. Not so challenging that it would scare me off before really getting into these Kaizo hacks, but challenging enough for me to die a shitton and keep wanting to try over. Just the right balance for starters.
I love this hack!! Levels have great flow, soundtrack is kickin', and the levels are beautiful! The only criticism that I have is that the level "Super Sky Fortress" should have been called "P-Switch Music". Jokes aside, great choice to replace the P switch music because it doesn't get as old as quick. Would definitely recommend.
I played this hack for like three weeks and I loved it. The level design is really good and you feel encouraged to learn the tricks required to beat it, when in other kaizo hacks the difficulty is merely "now this will kill you and you will get frustrated"
Yeah those deaths happen because of a bug with the retry system, it was either those random deaths or the music resetting each time you die and trust me, the music resetting each time was really annoying.
the boss fight in ryukahrs castle is buggy. sometimes you die immediately at the respawn point and sometimes you fall off the background and leave the level automatically. I played it with an sd2snes on an super famicom.
This was a lot of fun to play, looks great, and sounds great. It's the perfect difficulty for someone who has a few Kaizo hacks under their belt. I beat a slightly harder version of this in eight hours without save-states during testing.
