Found a bug. Graphics with priority on Map16 will hide the items on itembox. So for example, forest themed levels with trees placed on top of the screen that have priority will completely hide the item that Mario is holding on itembox. Or the vanilla tree trunk from forest of illusion will hide too. That could be a huge problem for some people.

Major Flare
Tested both in lorom and sa1, worked fine. A simpler alternative to the Item Box Special.
