Submission Details

Name: Bumper v1.1
Author: Blind Devil
Version History: View
Tool: PIXI
Type: Standard

Description: This is a simple 32x32 sprite that bounces the player away when touched. It can either be stationary or line guided depending on Extra Byte 1, and if line-guided, can move at different speeds. For how to set this, read the Readme/ASM file.

The sprite also includes defines for tilemap, bounce speeds, SFX for bouncing and how long to animate the bumper after bouncing the player.

Sprite is compatible with Line Guide Acts-Like Fix patch.

Support for LM3 exlevel settings. Only works with pixi 1.2.4+

This is great.

What about a 48x48 version? Like SMM?

Works mice. I don't see the purpose of it having that function with extra byte 5, but maybe someone could find a janky way to make a level based on that.
Also tested with the Acts-Like fix patch and it worked so, that's good too #tb{:D}

I'm surprised it took this long for someone to make. These are great, thanks.

I just realized tonight where these bumper graphics come from. Wow.

I made some Mario Maker bumper look-a-like graphics for this 32x32 sprite that you can find here:

Ive been enjoying this sprite quite a bit

More line-guided sprites are always welcome. Looks and works great, I can think of tons of uses for this one.

I'm a little shocked you didn't make a 48x48/64x64 version for the sole purpose of using Mario Maker's bumper graphics.

I couldn't get this sprite to function properly in GIEPY, but I found a workaround for anybody else using it: Do a search + replace function and replace all instances of !7FAB40 with !extra_prop_1.

edit: or it can be that I forgot to enable extra bits

It seems that after I inserted the sprite and changed the Extra Bytes, the Bumper still didn't move like it was intended. I've followed the directions to a T and yet still am getting nothing.
