Let's face it - the Yoshi Wings are useless. At the same time though, the animation of Mario getting shot up into the sky is very cool and it can be even used to simulate the Red Note Blocks from SMB3.
This patch changes the animation so that the player gets teleported to the screen exit that Mario is on instead of going to level C8 or 1C8.
The player will also not receive a Blue Yoshi and the level will not end if the player falls, so it acts just like a regular teleport.
The best example I can remember about this is the stage where you head to the Invasion Fleet in The Second Reality Project Reloaded. That was hell of a clever way to use the Yoshi's wings in a non-bonus level.
Nothing much to say, apparently this patch doesn't require any sa-1 remap so it was already compatible, but you needed to write "sa1rom" manually in the first line of the .asm (instead of lorom), same for FastROM. Now it isn't needed. Works fine with LM3.00+ too.
