Description: Welcome to Hack 5! What is the Hack series for those unfamiliar with it? It's a collection of hacks where you play a variety of levels, each with a unique and unpredictable gimmick/challenge, and Hack 5 continues the tradition.

STORY: Foes Mario and Roth have been trapped in a strange, dark land by an irritatingly enthusiastic Boo named Boolian. Boolian claims to have brought the two to his land in order to have them mend fences. Boolian presents Mario and Roth with a variety of levels with unique challenges, and the two enemies must work together to overcome them and be liberated from their captivity. Is Boolian genuinely interested in helping the pair put their past animosity behind them, or is something more sinister going on behind the scenes?

You’re probably missing one in the last area. After the three smashing spike pillars with fences in between them, one of the Moons falls down with the pillars behind an ice column to the right of the pillars. Use the Dry Bones to reach it.

Okey. Sad to hear that(Could you add that in there description maybe? So less people like me has to get a headache xD ). But thank you for your reply. At least I know I havent done anything wrong with the files. I'll just have to play those games on the PC then. Cheers.

@Arnee, yea unfortunately Hacks 3-5 won't work on the real hardware, they won't even load at all on my SNES Classic (which I know isn't true SNES hardware but I guess close enough).

The SNES classic is really just a glorified emulator and not a very accurate one at that with a tons of incompatibilities most hacks don't even work on it. If you want to test for hardware you'd have a better time using the accurate bsnes branch.

The RPG style text boxes are likely the culprit here as that's the common factor between the last 3 Hacks. Sadly I don't know how to fix it.

Hey Golden Yoshi! I discovered you by AVGN playing "hack 2".
I really like your work and creativity with these hacks.
But I can only get hack 1+2 and the RPG game working on my Everdrive on real hardware.
Hack 3+4+5 boots up and starts. But after titel screen and the game starts, as soon as the text boxes should appear the game goes black. They work on the PC with snes9x emulator.
So they should work on real hardware as well right? I use Flips IPS patcher btw.
Anyone else has these problems?
Best regards

I really liked your hack! The Idea is pretty cool with the gimmicks.
The jokes were pretty funny too.

The Moons: There is moons hidden with all types of difficulty, some of then are just try to keep some power up or some hard jump. But there are some, like in Press On and Ruins of Reversal which you feel smart for noticing how to get then. (Spoilers)

But some of then were using the gimmick of running to change the screen or using layer 2. I will be honest, some of theses I didn't like. I don't know, it felt unfair, specially this one on the first level. (Spoilers)

I really liked the "special levels", between the two worlds, even using more than one gimmick.

But I have some critique on this level, this one started way too hard, maybe you should put one net just to feel how to the gimmick works. (Spoilers)

Anyway, I hope this review help you with something haha, it was pretty fun to play your hack and make this.

While this doesn't mean that I think everything was bad (I really liked the final level, the level involving collecting a specific amount of coins and the yoshi level), it made the hack in general a rather unfun experience. 2/5 from me

I’ll keep that in mind for future hacks. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
