Tip: If you place a moon, midpoint, or dragon coin through Map16, it will always respawn whenever you reenter that sublevel. It will not respawn if you add it through the Add Objects/Extended Objects window.
This is a set of overworld indicators; as seen in VLDC8 and OLDC. Please see the readme for more info.
The counters supported are:
- Normal exit found
- Secret exits (up to 3) found
- All dragon coins found
- 3-UP moon found
Includes barebones (see: not tested) compatibility with Ragey's Overworld Expansion. This patch is incompatible with SRAM or BW-RAM Plus (same hijack spots).
This patch's version is based in an older version seen in VLDC8, work of Minimay and WhiteYoshiEgg. However, as this last version is mostly work done by me (Erik), make sure to contact me instead of them.
Just tested the combination of this patch with retry system and Individual dragon coins save
It kinda works but the game always stop saving progress after a while for some reason
Also the dragon coins and moon icons work but the "level complete" dont
Since this patch isn't compatible with SRAM/BW-RAM Plus, I assume it's also going to be incompatible with Retry System (+ Multiple Checkpoints) v2.06c?
Looking at the hijack map, it looks like the only conflicting hijacks relate to retry's save feature (as expected). So if you set !midway_sram = 0 in retry_table.asm they should work fine together (but you won't be able to save retry's checkpoints to sram).
