The map of the final mission in Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2 (GBA), re-arranged as a background.
This is a HUGE background; it uses FG1, FG2, BG1, BG2 and BG3, only leaving FG3 free, but only some FG1 animations are compatible (see last screenshot), which needed to be set manually (of course they're already included in the sample level). It also uses almost 3 full Map16 pages.
The sheer amount of unique tiles just for stars is a little overwhelming. It's a neat BG that takes up surprisingly little palette space though.
I wonder if it would be worth it to make a smaller-insert version with less stars, or maybe just back area color and layer 3 support... Or maybe one that doesn't use the BG rows at the bottom that aren't visible, but I think it's okay they're there so the user can play with what they want the player to see.
