This was tested with GPS, so using that might fix it. Also make sure you're using the correct block (don't use vwf if you don't have the vwf dialogues patch applied.) I imagine using the vwf block on a normal ROM would break it.

Tested with GPS v1.4.1, SNES9x v1.58, in both normal and SA-1 ROMs (with and without VWF dialogues, and with and without SRAM/BWRAM Plus). SA-1 conversion was done during moderation process.

Everything works just fine. I just went ahead and added some defines for ease of configuration, along with the SA-1 hybridization. There's now an option for the message displaying save block to use the current level number for the message if set to do so.
