Tip: Switch palace switches normally disappear if you replay the level. However, if you insert them as direct Map16 and use the hex-edit at $00EEB2 in the ROM map, you can replay the level without a problem. Not logged in.

Super Mario World Hacks - Armaidia
File Name: Armaidia
Added:
Authors: SMW Physicist, debug001, levelengine
Demo: Yes
Featured: No
Length: 5 exit(s)
Type: Standard: Normal
Description: Recently me and a few other users here on SMW Central were working on a collab hack, which the idea was founded by debug001. Being team leader and having been requested to try to get this demo on the main hacks page, I decided to submit this short demo that was shown off for the recent SMWC3. It is likely going to handle very similarly to the original Super Mario World in how it feels, as GFX edits will be minimal. We also won't take in custom ASM code unless maybe, if it's quality of life fixes to the base game or patching "overpowered" elements.

P.S. We also have a fourth member on our team, Jaiden, whose level was unfortunately deleted before he could back it up.

this is false, also it was said that this is a demo basically everywhere.
however I played throught this and it was fun but I found 2 issues.
There's a sprite in title screen that shows a blank dot while the opening happens, you can use this patch to fix it.
Also, in the castle, you can use L/R to scroll the screen into the autoscroller sprite and hardlock the game, forcing a reset, this is fixable with a patch aswell.

'I needed to unzip the folder to know this is a demo'

...

'Demo: Yes'

Description also says this is a demo.

'I'm taking a point away because of that'

That's rich!

Normally i whould not do this, but i'm giving a 5/5 without playing the hack because this lower rating because a guy can't read is ... something else.

The good:
-5 short levels in a game that you can beat in less than an hour
-Good music
=I liked most of the levels.

The bad
-you don't find out this is a demo until you extract the zip(Not cool, and I'm taking off s point for that alone!)
-For some reason your run speed is lowered, which can really mess you up if you're trying to time your jumps a certain way to avoid enemies.
-The last level is full of cheap deaths, and I kept getting hit over and over because of them. Not to mention because of the fact that everything looked the ssame I kept hitting spikes not realizing they're spikes. Seriously, the last level felt liek it took an hour because it's so confusing to see.
-No boss at the end.

That said, please don't this bad rating as a reason to stop making games. I believe that you can make something better if you keep trying. But please, let people know that this is just a demo in the title.
