After being in limbo for so long, it's time to accept it!
Moderated with:
  • Lunar Magic 3.10
  • Asar 1.71
  • SA-1 Pack 1.32
  • SNES9x 1.60

For the most part, it's a nice effect change. There is one notable downside, though: It does not work with two players. If both players are on the same submap, the game will load a blank tilemap when the players switch and the players can't move. They can, however, still open a level... which ends up in 000/100.

tl;dr Just... don't use it with two player mode, okay?

I went on to accept it because it was for too long in the limbo because of a bug with an easy workaround.

Interesting. I doubt how many people actually play hacks with 2 players, but if it's fixable then it should be. Sorry for not testing it properly :(

Keep in mind that this patch is (as for now) incompatible with 2 player mode. I have investigated in that issue a bit but it's more complicated than I thought. Just a note why I have unclaimed it.

Remoderated patch. Pretty much only a "visual upgrade" without major impact, if you ask me, but here it is. It should be noted that for some reason (that I don't know) this patch doesn't like borders so much, as sometimes the camera shifts if the entrance is too close to any border (noticeable in the left-exit of Forest of Illusion or in the exit to Yellow Switch Palace, for example). Added two gif for a better comparision (first one is before patch, second one is after).
