Here's another Megaman port, this time from the Battle Network series. I mostly based this one on the Double Team DS version of this song, but not enough to say that this was completely based on it, more so inspired by it.
There's two versions of the port: one that has a sample removed and slight reduction in echo, and some SMW instruments removed, but none of the ones that are actually shared by any SFX; this is the optimized version. I still included the original version of the port tho in case anyone wants to try and insert that one.
This one probably fits well in underwater castles and ruins, preferably places which are tense and dramatic enough to fit the song. Outside of that, I don't have many ideas. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
tbh, I would've done that if the PMM version I use had any support for q commands, and while I can just use the regular PMM for that instead... I dunno, I like that you have the option to convert every single velocity change in the MIDI itself by using it, it saves up a ton of trouble trying to put them myself lmao
This port has a really big issue but I let it pass because you'd have to restart the port from scratch: try to use q instead of v, what you are doing increases the insert size by alot in some cases, since sometimes q uses 1 byte only and v always uses 2. Also I lowered the global volume a bit because SMW sfx are bad and quiet.
Issues aside this is a nice port but don't do this again please or I'll call the port police (other music staff members)
