What began as an earnest attempt to learn Lunar Magic by making a simple, beginner-friendly hack is now here, in its (hopefully) finished state, an intermediate-to-difficult kaizo hack that leans toward just difficult in its cape levels.
Yep, levels. There are three flying levels, four cape levels total. While I think they're fair, they're not especially easy. I finished Panga World and Volpey's Friend just before creating these, and the sins of the fathers are indelibly present here. I felt this all necessary to mention since the average kaizo hack has something like .75 cape levels in it.
The rest of the hack involves precise jumps, a splash of item abuse, a little chocolate, and a few trolls for good measure. The usual kaizo fare. The game overall should be a relatively simple obstacle to more experienced players.
This hack is dedicated to my very good friend, Solstng, who helped me immensely during the early stages of my transition. This is the least I could do in return.
And I sincerely hope, if you give it a go, that you enjoy your time.
Hey all. So apparently some of the custom sprites in various levels crash the game on the snes classic. First, I'm very very sorry about that. But, two, I'll make a sne classic version once I'm able to. For those who don't know, I'm currently recovering from bottom surgery, so I'm wildly incapacitated. I'll get to it when I can though. 💙
Just made it to the second world, I'm quite enjoying this hack. Some unique aesthetics, very fun and relatively short levels so far. Excellent first effort, I'm looking forward to the future of shovda romhacks
