Description: | A Kaizo light hack for beginners! The tricks and set ups start very easy but tend to get a bit more difficult further on. I have tried to ensure it remains easy and accessible by having short sections, normally around 3 obstacles between checkpoints and goals. Features: - No hidden coin blocks - 3 switch palaces with 3 different secret exits to find - A very easy "puzzle" required to beat the game - No water levels! - Cool disco dance room - Levels are linear and clear of what is required I hope you enjoy playing! Update: Minor graphics fixes and nerfed blue switch palace |

some set ups are strange to me to be honest... but overall cool hack fun!!!!! GG
But overall a good challenge for a beginner, levels and checkpoints are short and sweet. Took approx. 2 hours to complete. 4/5
Thank you Monkeyfist! Wishing you all the best and I hope you're doing well <333
GLHF
super well made and just fun
great job Monkeyfist
my condolences
you and your family
Rest in Peace River
What I disliked most was the slippery dip level. It had too much slide and pray for the right speed. Even with knowledge and regrabs it remained wonky.
Some parts I really enjoyed though. But some levels were pretty ugly too.
3.5/5
Btw, in the level Cheese Stick Bridge you can do the rope glitch before the midway, and skip all the obstacles in the level.
Anyway, 5/5.
as a beginner I can just say: Perfect!
thanks for the work you've put into!
Note two things before going into it as a beginner though:
- You need to understand regrabs for one of the levels
- You also need to know a couple of specific types of shell jump that other hacks can teach you
I had a great time with this. I believe Nexus pointed out that the two jumps after the midway in Slippery Dip don't need the tricks associated with them to make the jumps. Minor cheese.
Good work. I liked pretty much every second of it.
Recommended if you're starting kaizo, you'll have fun and nice challenges from start to finish. If you have a bit more experience, you'll enjoy it as well.
Thank you so much and all the best for you, monkeyfist! <3
Thanks for playing GiraffeKiller. Really enjoyed watching you play it on stream!
I found 2 minor things you should fix if you want to update this hack again.
1) After the Midway in Slippery Dip you are able to just jump up onto the platforms and dont need the vines as seen here
2) Some blocks in the SEKRET of Pokey Paradise act as 25, making you fall through them. If you end up changing that, make sure to put a muncher somewhere because you could softlock otherwise (even if its unlikely)
Hey Nexus, thanks for playing through.
I will make a change to Slippery Dip to prevent that cheese but probably not for a while or unless a major issue shows up.
As for the act as 25, that's just to ensure that no-one does get softlocked in that room. They might think they have been but aren't.
Thanks once again for playing, I hope you enjoyed!

I did run into one issue on the double bounce switch palace. The last koopa to kick a shell sometimes died by the shell it is supposed to kick. Happened multiple times.
Other than that no problems and congratz on making something nice.
Well deserved I must say.
Hey thanks for playing.
I looked into the vine issue and it seems I had them acting as nets rather than vines. I will update the file with that fixed along with some other stuff soon.
There are minor stuff that I found that could be fixed pretty easily too:
-You can get p-speed here, and reveal the pipe before, so you can skip the next section.
-Also, you can see some cut-off here.
-And here, in the same area.
-You can skip this jump with p-speed, and get to the saw.
-barbWut
-In "Spoopy house" you don't need the spring to get up. You can use the stone ghost.
-If you get enough lives, you die in the overworld.
Good luck mate, and hope everything is allright for you!
Hey thanks for playing.
Didn't realise all those cut-offs could be seen, I'll fix them. And the pipe skip I am well aware of. Its just something I don't think people will see on the first play thru.
I knew about the p-speed skip on the castle, its just much slower and the stone ghosts. The ghosts I left in as a "safety net" or 2nd chance for the player. Perhaps I should remove them if its considered to be against kaizo level design.
Can you explain what you mean about getting enough lives to die on the overworld?
Appreciate the feedback mate.
That, I assume it' s because of gaining lives
Yeah, most of stuff I said aren't problems, but maybe you wanted to know, who knows!
Thanks for playing mate.
Yeah I've had feedback from some others that it's a bit difficult. There is always the other path to take and come back when you feel ready. I may even nerf it a bit, we shall see.
