SMW Graphics - Ganbare Goemon 4 - Water Moon Stage 1 and 4 Show random
File Name: Ganbare Goemon 4 - Water Moon Stage 1 and 4
Authors: Anorakun
Type: Ripped
Purpose: Background
Description: The beautiful background that appears in Water Moon 1 and 4, from Ganbare Goemon Kirakira Dōchū: Boku ga Dancer ni Natta Wake, lit. "Under The Road - Why I became a dancer", also known as Ganbare Goemon 4, since it continues the plot of the series. This was a tasking background to rip, since it is very wide. But here it is! Use it for water levels or levels with an oriental vibe. The original game doesn't have aquatic sections in the levels that use it, so use your creativity how you'll use this background.

This background uses BG1,BG2 and BG3.

Also, it uses palette 2,3 and the final four colors of palette 4.

Included with this background is two HDMA (Level ASM files, with SA-1 versions too) that the original game uses for this specific background. It also has ExAnimation for the waterfalls.

I didn't test it with the Scrollable HDMA scroll, but if it works with and you want to use it for levels with a lot of verticality, then use "Water Moon 04 gradient", since it is more complete and is used for a vertical level in the original game.

This is my attempt of making an accurate and complete rip of this background.

Credit would be great, but is optional.

UPDATE 1: Included two sample levels, because the two HDMA use different background positions.

UPDATE 2 : I had to swap colors from the palette to make the ExAnimation even smoother. Now the waterfalls are palette cycling correctly. And I had to make some edits in the tiles, but they are very minor.

A very good rip of a very pretty background. I've went ahead and added SA-1 versions of the two HDMA files. Also as a headsup for the future: Please use the Numbers (in this case 300-302) for the ExGFX files instead of EXGFXxx.bin in the future for easier insertion.
