It might be due to me not hearing the original version beforehand, but I think this is a pretty solid port, especially on it's own. MM7's soundfont helps a bunch with it.

I think Red chameleon's version is better.

the wrong notes kinda make the song sound more chaotic

Lowered the global volume from w170 to w140 since it was a bit loud in game. From memory, I also feel like I'm hearing wrong notes, but nothing too bad. I feel like the bigger issue is that the MM7 samples don't necessarily fit this song as much. Some parts, like the climax around 1:18, work nicely though.

Yes but it was a remix of a song from MM6 which was composed by Yuko Takehara, the same person who composed much of the music in MM7. In that context it fits.

I'm not a fan of how this sounds, either. These instruments make an extremely muddy experience. I'd use some better instruments and maybe even add ADSR to them.

IDK if its my bias against MM7 instruments but this port sounds like it's littered with wrong notes.

Personally I'm not big on how this port sounds but I've never been a fan of MM7's soundfont to take me with a grain of salt (please fix the wrong notes though).
