Works as intended and the easy level change configure in the asm file is nice, so it's accepted. Just note that this works fine for 0-1FF, but if you try using a "level" that isn't in this range (which you shouldn't do in the first place), it will almost certainly crash the game (from my testing).
Nice. Does this patch support layer 3 BGs by any chance? Can't try it out for myself right now.
Sort of. When the Ghost House intro is used, the tileset specific layer 3 for that level will be loaded. If your intro level uses the Ghost House tileset then this will be mist, for the Castle tileset it will be windows, and for the Underground tileset it will be rocks. Any other tileset will give the glitched beta cage.
I haven't tested any layer 3 ExGFX, but I wouldn't expect them to work.
The Castle and No Yoshi intros do not have layer 3.

- Modified the code to enable repointing to any of the 1FF available levels.
- Added layer 2 repointing so backgrounds don't look garbage.
