| Description: | Yoshi's Island has got some of the most beautiful graphics on the SNES. The sunset, which can be seen in certain levels in the game (e.g. 3-1, 6-1), is one of the most beautiful ones especially for being layer 3 image. Note that to fully use this background, you need both, a sprite status bar and UberASM. The former because it fills the whole tilemap and the latter because of the (required) background gradient and parallax HDMA. Full background makes use of "Scrollable" HDMA Gradients and Parallax HDMA Toolkit. It also includes an updated legacy version (using the old code) which is compatible with the vanilla Status Bar (it still requires UberASM). |

By the way, that's only so because of a bug in DKCR Status Bar. The waiting version is actually compatible with the background (and parallax HDMA in general).
Great rip. That's sure tons of work to replicate this nice layer 3 from YI.
For this graphic, I easily recommend the SMB3 status bar, since it works the best. DKCR status bar I tried a bit, and it causes some weird bugs. Minimalist is a no-no. For anyone using the vanilla status bar, use the legacy version.
Also, for anyone using this layer 3, please make sure to read the readme, because there's a lot of invaluable information there about how to use it and how it works.
Not using UberASM? (See discription.)
I still think it looks like that, you aren't the only one. It's like someone said "s is for sunset" and the whole team fucking jumped on it
