SMW Graphics - Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shougun Magginesu - Snowy Mountains Show random
File Name: Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shougun Magginesu - Snowy Mountains
Added:
Authors: Anorakun
Type: Ripped
Purpose: Background
Description: A very simple, but, beautiful snow mountain background, that is used in snowy levels from Ganbare Goemon 2 (Super Famicom). I have included the original HDMA as well. Works great for snowy levels or mountains, in general. This rip was part of my C3 Graphic Ripping Showcase .

Uses palette 2 and only the BG2 slot.

Credit would be great, but is optional.

I feel like this mixed with the "tightrope" custom block would make an interesting bases for a level. Very cool.

This is another really nice rip. What makes it especially convenient is the fact it uses only a single file and palette row, making it highly open for all kinds of foreground sets and props to be used. The frigid ridges of the mountains are nicely defined. Its default palette is gentle on the eyes with a distant appearance, well-suited to daylight or snow squalls. The snow at the bottom is a perfect candidate for a higher parallax scrolling rate, if that is your thing.
