Description: | The rockin' song from the second level of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (and Dracula X). This track would go well in a castle or sinister area, particularly one that moves quickly to match the driving tempo. This is my first port, and I poured a ton of hours and heart into it. I hope you enjoy it. |

obviously there's still room for improvement in the name of accuracy, but not taking into account the original it sounds very very good on its own. hope to see more from you.
Silly me, thank you! I've fixed it.
- The percussion panning should probably be the same for each sample and it is a bit louder than the rest of the music
- Some of the other samples could have some better volume balancing
- I could go over having better instrumentation, but that's not really important for first timers yet.
Again, for a first port (that especially is sampled) this is awesome and not something you see often, and Rondo of Blood is one of my favorite VGM soundtracks of all-time. It may
have some issues as of right now, but you clearly know what you are doing and have definitely put a ton of time into this one. Can't wait to see more from you, man.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Particularly for being so detailed on different points - that's incredibly helpful for a beginner knowing where in particular to work on.
I edited the file to fix the panning in the percussion and brought it down a bit. I'm a sucker for strong percussion so I'll admit I'm a little loud with it. I also tweaked some of the other volume.
I'm still building a collection of samples and learning how to tell what I can do to manipulate a sample with adsr and echo when hearing just the .brr, so hopefully I can get some to match up better in future ports. All in all I'm happy with how it turned out and will do some... less complex ones in the future.
