This sprite is a sphere that can be picked up and carried around, and will indiscriminately destroy (almost) any sprite it comes into contact with. It can be set to destroy an unlimited number of sprites, or you can set it to self-destruct after destroying a specified number of sprites via extra byte 1. You can also control which palette row it uses with extra byte 2.
Includes a basic "death sphere" graphic that uses SP3 (overwrites half the Hammer Bro in GFX13).
Works as intended and it works well for the most part. I will note that with sprites that have hitboxes that aren't around 16x16, the kill mechanic isn't perfect. Notable examples include any platform sprites, so something like the grey falling platform can only be killed if interacted on its leftmost tile. Since it works well for everything else, I believe this is still worth accepting, but getting the interaction to work properly with larger sprites should be considered in a future update.
So what happens when you kill the orb or goal tape?
They will vanish just like any other sprite, and you won't be able to collect them. In one screenshot I show this being used to avoid a goal trap so you can pass the real goal.
Excluding kaizo, this sprite probably shouldn't be used in levels where it's possible to destroy level exits.
Ooh... shell and Mario-killing (meant for patched use on conveyors, platforms, line-guides) ones would also be ideal for Kaizo hacks. It would add a little danger to it in addition to accidentally killing platforms or enemies that you need.
