Tip: If you're using the wall-running purple triangles in your hack, remember to add Tile 1EB (or a tile that acts like Tile 1EB) underneath it. Extended object 44/45 will include this tile for you.

SMW Sprites - Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - Numbered Platform
A numbered platform from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, found in levels like Don't Look Back (4-2).
It's a platform which allows you to jump on only a limited amount of times.
Can be used as a standalone sprite or in combination with a block. Uses the Map16 tile number for how often you can jump on one.
During moderation the author fixed a bug where the Platform blocks would crash the game when jumped on, if all the sprite slots were already full. Everything else works as intended, so, accepted. Also, during moderation I tweaked the sample level's palette, since it included unnecessary colours, and added a pal/palmask, since one wasn't included.
Aside from the poof effect, how are these different from Akaginite's?
The first one is that you can place the platforms standalone and not just as a block (hence why I submitted them as sprites and not blocks) and the second reason is more compressed Map16 which allows you to use platforms with larger numbers than Akaginite's platforms.
smkdan has already submitted a YI Exploding Platforms or Numbered Platform in the selection. It looks like you made a duplicate sprite of it. Why don't you test that out if you please and see which is better.
You shouldn't always assume that the submitter is uninformed. I have got a very good reason why I created my own version: I'm not happy with the existing solution (the reason is even mentioned in the readme). To give you one defining example why my version is surperior: Blocks. smkdan's version is strictly sprite only, mine not only allows you to place them standalone (i.e. as sprites) but allows you to place blocks instead and those have got multiple advantages (see the readme for more details).
