Description: A numbered platform from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, found in levels like Don't Look Back (4-2).
It's a platform which allows you to jump on only a limited amount of times.

Can be used as a standalone sprite or in combination with a block. Uses the Map16 tile number for how often you can jump on one.

Read the readme for more details.

When I try to insert with pixi I always get "Could not insert .../numbered_platform.cfg I didn't changed anything

That's because numbered_platform.cfg doesn't exits —it's numbered_platform.json which you have to enter.

Wow, Sorry, I do have the dumb in my brain xD

I inserted these as-is. The sprites work great, but the blocks crash the game whenever I jump on them and I can't figure out why. #smrpg{sad}

Did you set the sprite number in the block correctly? It must be the same as you have inserted in list.txt.

Tested with:

• Lunar Magic 3.21
• SA-1 Pack v1.32
• PIXI v1.2.15
• GPS V1.4.1
• Snes9x v1.60
• bsnes plus v05

During moderation the author fixed a bug where the Platform blocks would crash the game when jumped on, if all the sprite slots were already full. Everything else works as intended, so, accepted. Also, during moderation I tweaked the sample level's palette, since it included unnecessary colours, and added a pal/palmask, since one wasn't included.

Aside from the poof effect, how are these different from Akaginite's?

The first one is that you can place the platforms standalone and not just as a block (hence why I submitted them as sprites and not blocks) and the second reason is more compressed Map16 which allows you to use platforms with larger numbers than Akaginite's platforms.

you mean off, not on, since they decrement, or explode when you jump/walk off.

You shouldn't always assume that the submitter is uninformed. I have got a very good reason why I created my own version: I'm not happy with the existing solution (the reason is even mentioned in the readme). To give you one defining example why my version is surperior: Blocks. smkdan's version is strictly sprite only, mine not only allows you to place them standalone (i.e. as sprites) but allows you to place blocks instead and those have got multiple advantages (see the readme for more details).

Edit: Missing words and typo.
