Did a sampled arrangement of the catchy SMW Composition by ThinkOneMoreTime, Styla. By far one of my favorite songs on the site, and it's been almost 8 years since we started shaking our hips to this banger in some good ol' hacks! Made this to go along with a Rivals of Aether custom stage that I'm working on.
This baby can fit athletic / sky stages, night, mountain, and space stages.
There is a "!READ ME.txt" file that has the sample bank. You'll need to move what's in that file into "Addmusic_sample_groups.txt."
- "Bonus End" & Thunder SFX are disabled.
There are also 4 customizable pitches for this song that you can adjust in the song's txt file:
1. A# Minor (Remix Pitch, turned on default)
2. A Minor (Original Pitch)
3. G# Minor (Custom Pitch 1)
4. B Minor (Custom Pitch 2)
Some time two weeks ago I was scouring the entire music section for a good title screen theme for my upcoming project, and I came across TOMT's original Styla. I thought it fit quite well. Fast forward to last week and this came out. I immediately saw it as a sign that it NEEDS to be my title screen music. Other than the scary coincidence, this is AMAZING work, thanks for this!
I added @15 and SMW Thunder to the sample group, since it inserted fine with both of them. Also, be careful with $ED on SFX channels, since a sound effect playing at the wrong time causes the instrument to switch to @0 and sound off. Not your fault, it's just one of those AMK quirks, but I figured I'd mention it anyway.
All that aside, this sounds, well fabulous! I really love what you've done with this remix. It's great to see old compositions have a new take on them.
Fixing not only songs from other video games (anime, jojo for example), but also original songs on SMWC.
I wouldn't call this fixing a song (given the differences between this and the original song and also the fact it's a sampled remix not an unsampled one). Just a new take as that one is still incredible. I only do remixes. I don't fix songs (except for Ys III on the SNES).
