Tress from DKC3. I know there was a layer 2 version. Mine is on layer 3. You can:
-view the BG in the sample file;
-see the BG uses all layer 3 palettes. Setting those is a bit difficult. The sample level comes to the rescue;
-observe the layer 3 uses 239 tiles or almost 2 ExGFX files. Those are in the safe one.
-use the DKCR Sprite Status Bar. It's essential.
-choose from one of the 5 palette options that come from DKC3.
