This reminds me of some of the ports used for VLDC9 and maaan i miss those ports so much. At least I can still listen to them, lol.
It's actually more efficient to make big loops rather than small loops. So, for example, instead of doing
(71)[r8cc]4 < (72)[r8bb]4 (82)4 (72)4
You would do
(71)[ [[r8cc]]4 < [[r8bb]]4 > [[r8dd]]4 < [[r8bb]]4 ] ]
Then, you could merge it with the following line to just have (71)2
And then so on with the rest of the loops.
There's a lot of passages like this in the port, and lots of loops you could merge together. It's not significant enough to reject, but it can still have a noticeable impact on the port's size (about 0x80 bytes or so if you correct all of them, if I estimated correctly.)
That aside, this is a really cute port, great job!
