My first completed port.
Composed by Jon Brion, this song is from the film Synecdoche New York, directed by Charlie Kaufman. A depressing song for a depressing movie, perfect for title screens, credits, and cutscenes.
Ported by ear, samples used are from earthbound and musicalman's samples of insanity
This is acceptable, but a few comments:
-Do not separate loops like (1)(1), have them merged as (1)2 instead.
-If the repeated section already has a single-bracket loop, you can loop the section again with a double-bracket loop, like [[ [c8 f8]2 c+8 e8 c+8 e2^8]]2.
-Rests should be merged as one loop. Example: If there's [r1]11 [r2]2 [r4]5, (11*4)+(2*2)+5=53, so [r4]53. Having r1 inside a loop can increase the insert size a tiny bit, because it's internally r2^2, so the longest rest you can use is r2.
-Attack time in the string instruments can be... slightly shorter? I think it's taking quite a while for the ADSR's attack time to reach its peak, which can feel a bit unnatural in my opinion.
Other than those, great job.
