Description: My first hack, an effort of hundreds of hours spread over 10 months.

In this hack, you will find short but very difficult sections, with trolls that are mostly fair; no puzzles, but optional secrets to collect; mostly vanilla-style gameplay, with some custom sprites and ASM that I felt were vanilla-adjacent.

There's no crazy motorskills, reverse gravity, etc.

Note that this hack uses SRAM+ to save midways, exits, and secret items, so it will not function on Canoe-based SNES Classics.

Thank you for playing, I hope you have fun! To collect all secrets, you must be a master cape gamer. Or you can cheat by opening it up in Lunar Magic, your call.

Changelog:
22/4: Nerfed "Ignus" second half
24/4: Added Heart Coin indicators to prevent unnecessary searching
25/4: Standardized Heart Coin indicators, changed one setup in A Peculiar Storm to be more clear, removed all instances of lightning for increased accessibility
26/4: Fixed an error where you couldn't collect the 2nd Heart Coin in "Ignus"
28/4: Added an overworld pipe to assist with Trans Rights %, nerfed a couple jumps in "Many Winters Alone"
1/5: fixed cheese in "Into The Glacier", patched out rope glitch :)

The first 3/4 of the hack felt like a moderate breeze, with the toughest bits being all the mid-air enemy bounces and the spawn | timing | regrab guesswork. But the short sections made it an engaging and fresh kind of challenge.

Not sure if I was just worn out myself, if the hack scaled up in difficulty - or both - but towards the last 1/4 of the hack I was anxious to get to the credits. For example I might've found the

fun in some situation, but my spirit just left my body instead.

Certainly recommended for even your average intermediate player, as Fire and Ice sharpens skills not always worked on. Glad to see a cape level even if it was a simple one too.

Thanks for sharing your creativity quietmason #smw{:peace:}

stuck in 2nd section of Forest Fire, it seems like I need to keep cannon speed - or get p-speed, but perhaps this part is galaxy brain or I've got small brain. I've never been as stumped since Dram World, but even then I managed to eventually work it out myself. Maybe I'm just out of it atm...

Hint:
You can hold down a set of buttons to make it through that gap automatically, coming out of the cannon. Bigger Hint:

(previous comment for 2nd section of Lake Point below)
edit: ok got it, I just hugged the wall with the 3 vertical coins to manipulate the proper spawn. Obviously the coins are intended to direct that, but I just saw them as 'hey look up here, bullets' for the blind player to potentially one shot the section. Oh well.

What was originally happening before I got the 'just hug the wall' bit:
I'm definitely missing something in the 2nd section of Lake View, after the 3 vertical coin part - bouncing off the 2 bullets then min bounce off the bullet from the left to the platform. Once I land on the platform, another lower two vertical bullets spawn moving left before I can do anything seemingly useful with them. Like if they spawned a moment later I'd be able to jump from the right side of the falling platform to catch the next bullet moving left up top. No idea.

Mason really outdid himself with this hack. The levels are fun and creative and the Overworld has an insane sense of polish and intrigue.

Though I haven't finbished the hack I highly recommend for intermidiate/seasoned players as the hack can be quite challenging.

Had the pleasure of playtesting this. Quietmason did a fantastic job, making a highly polished, fun hack here — exemplifying the recent trend of first-time creators making debut hacks that truly feel like they're made by seasoned creators. He especially did a good job utilizing vanilla mechanics in highly creative ways, making for a lot of interesting (and challenging) setups and jumps.

Looking forward to whatever's next from a creator that I think a lot of people will be taking notice of.
