The Sinking Old Sanctuary from Castlevania Bloodlines, which plays in the second stage of the game, Atlantis Shrine. Good for sunken ruin types of levels, or just ruined/haunted places in general.
This sounds absolutely beautiful. The level themes suggested definitely fit. The three main level themes this fits, or four on a technicality: underwater, water, ruins, haunted. Underwater and water could be counted as one, depends on where Mario goes through the level.
