Really liked the idea of telling your father's story level by level in the hack. Gameplaywise, it reminded me of Kaizo 1 more than anything else. It doesn't play like a modern kaizo with constant go go go. Many obstacles give you as much time as you need to think them through, and you can even scroll the screen to reset in spots. The design sometimes felt pretty slack, where you kind of just wait around for a few seconds or do very easy filler obstacles between harder tricks. There are also a bunch of obtainable koopa shells and goombas that are not required to progress, which struck me as bad design. Additionally, I would have preferred a proper final boss and some more variation in the ending trolls. An enjoyable hack on the whole though.
