(Deleted my previous comment since I felt it needs to be rewritten to better simplify/organize my review since there are many issues present in this hack.)

For starters, this hack played out well for the most part and reminded me of Super Mario World Beta, but as I mentioned in my previous comment, a few silly mistakes were made that are actually quite easy to fix.

One thing I didn't like was the fact that all the levels and pathways were revealed upon starting the game. I highly suggest allowing the levels and pathways reveal through overworld events instead rather than right off the bat as it kind of kills the sense of adventure you feel when completing levels and seems lazy.

Secondly, this hack is too difficult for a Standard: Normal hack. I'd suggest bumping this up to Standard: Hard instead. The boss battle with Iggy is a prime example of how this hack exceeded Normal difficulty.

Slowdown was present in some levels (Dolphin Waterfall in particular had awful slowdown halfway through the level when dolphins show up from the left side of the screen), and the Question Blocks throughout the entire hack had weird palettes upon hitting them, so did the Flying Question Blocks.

When I brought Yoshi to Iggy's Hideaway, his tongue was invisible and the fire he spews upon swallowing a Red Koopa had glitched graphics. Iggy's magic attack also had glitched graphics, the bouncy Wooden Blocks in Athletic Fields 1, and so did the Para-Bombs' parachutes in Vanilla Island 1. Playing this on SNES9x by the way.

The pipe to the far left of Vanilla Island 1 doesn't lead anywhere. I doubt this was intentional, and I nearly ran out of time in this level because of it. There was also a Star Coin in a subscreen boundary in this level. The Yellow Switch Palace was unedited from the original. I suggest creating a new switch palace.

Also, I'm unable to proceed to the Star Warp after beating Vanilla Island 2, whereas in one of your screenshots in your description, you have access to it and the demo stating it has 18 exits.

I'll give this hack a 4/5. Decent job, but please fix these issues mentioned above. #smw{:peace:}

bumped this up to standard: normal although I think this could even arguably be put in standard: hard. there's a couple of tough levels in this.

i'm not a huge fan of the vanilla status bar on the bottom of the screen, it has the tendency to cover up obstacles. nice job otherwise.

I quite liked what I played so far.
It's a short demo but it does give a good impression of what the player can expect in a full release or later demo.

I got some real "Beta SMW" vibes from it for some reason. I did find a few little quirks here and there but nothing major for the demo to not be accepted.

I will say though I played both modes and Luigi Mode feels pretty weird. Like I get having different control styles for characters it's pretty fun however Luigi feels super super floaty.
It took me a few levels to get it down but yeah you can breeze through a lot of hazards with hit crazy airtime.

That said though it's still a fun little romp so give it a go if your interested. Nice Work!

Great Demo! i only suggest that luigis physics get a little less "space-y"
he is veyr glitchy sometimes unfortunately, which makes levels much easier. otherwise, 5/5!#smrpg{y}
