Super Mario World Hacks - Beachside Blitz Link - Show random
File Name: Beachside Blitz
Authors: TheRealCatsup
Demo: No
Featured: No
Length: 14 exit(s)
Type: Kaizo: Beginner
Description: Beachside Blitz features 13 fairly easy levels with an optional beginner shell level.

The physics are all vanilla aside from a couple QoL patches.

Every reskinned sprite is a vanilla sprite and will act just like it's vanilla counterpart.
There are 0 custom sprites, they only look custom.

This hack should be accessible to beginners and will probably be too easy for seasoned veterans.

My sole goal was to make a fun hack for everyone to enjoy.

Thank You.

Clear video you probably won't need.

I'm really enjoying myself with this hack. I particularly love beach levels and the design is so well done. It's a good hack for beginner players who have played at least one or two easier kaizos before.

I really loved the hack, but I just didn't like the yellow switch color palette. The yellow was too strong. But that doesn't take away the merit. Super congratulations. 5/5

i adored this hack. it was super cute, the levels ranged from very good to sublime, and all the aesthetics worked beautifully within the levels. i would think even a veteran player would get something out of playing this.

any chance of a bgm list?

easy and enjoyable, congrats, great work!

Short and sweet beginner kaizo hack with each level containing only a few, well thought out setups. Beginners should note that this hack assumes you already have a basic understanding of kaizo tech, including how to shell jump. It could probably use some indicators for some of the blind jumps but as the levels are very short, it may not be necessary. (I know the use of indicators can be controversial). That being said, I really liked the reskinned sprites and really enjoyed the hack. Well Done!

Keep in mind that I have only beaten the first five levels of this hack. Though I am slightly concerned about the difficulty balancing of this hack. Especially when level 3 felt way harder than the other levels. I will give my full thoughts when I complete the hack entirely.

Fun easy hack with nice aesthetics and theming. Setups were intuitive and, unlike some beginner hacks, actually felt like easier versions of kaizo setups you might find in more difficult hacks. Would definitely recommend to beginning players.
