Description: | This patch disables the end level scorecard tilemap updates, preventing it from messing up the level's layer 3, but it keeps its functions running in the background (score/bonus stars updates). It also fixes the layer 3 priority/transparency messing up at level end (usually the game forces it to have top priority and no color math). Optionally, you can make the timer tick down as the score increments. |

If so, what would I do to stop updating the score counter?

I notified the creator that if you enable and then disable the timer count down, the patch will break where the timer units will underflow without affecting the other digits. A small fix was submitted during the moderation which fixes it.This certainly is one of the simpler patches, barely a tweak if it weren't for the timer code.
