Description: The Getaway is a fast paced, intermediate kaizo hack with a focus on fluid platforming rather than complex set ups. Probably too tough for beginners but I was aiming for an enjoyable difficulty for most skill levels. It's 8 exits + 1 short switch palace. No bosses or secret exits.

Thanks for playing, good luck & ENJOY!

1.1 update: Fixed OW pathing issue
1.11 update: Fixed a minor issue that caused inconsistencies with a mushroom power up

A short yet decently challenging Kaizo Intermediate hack. Has some really creative setups and beautiful visuals, plus a fun story to go along with it.

There's some minor inconsistencies with the setup timings occasionally, it's sometimes a bit tricky to figure out where to speed up / slow down to make things work, but nothing too bad. Usually if something seemed like it didn't quite work, I was doing it wrong and there was a better and easier way to do things.

Really liked it!

I had a fantastic time with this hack. Brotherly Love, in particular, was one of the most fun levels I've ever played.

Fun hack! Found the Luishi reveal hilarious, and the
twist ending
was a dark delight. Gameplay was good solid intermediate Kaizo platforming with a little bit of shell stuff, no big complaints.

My one small gripe would be the second half of Kinetic Castle, in that the timing felt off. Think the level would be better if you kept the player on the correct timing throughout (e.g. you could have more spike ground in the beginning to force the player to use the shell, keeping them locked on the right timing).

Overall though, I would definitely recommend this hack. Nice work.
