Description: I decided to try my hand at making a troll rom hack.

This hack features a few questionable types of question mark blocks, and as the title implies, is themed around p-switches and on/off blocks (which sometimes have a mind of their own).

Expect to traverse different paths through some of the same areas in order to get the items you need.

I'm definitely not the target audience for this, but I felt like playing something different, and here are my thoughts if you're interested in feedback.

I did not care for the multiple instances of fake ground. For a troll to be good in my view, it has to be either novel and amusing or the attentive player has to have a reasonable chance to dodge the troll. Neither is the case for the fake ground trolls unless I'm missing some subtle hints. I felt the same for the switch-state changing that occurs at seemingly random locations.

Also, I'm not sure if I cheesed, but the end seemed pretty abrupt. Mario can bring P-switches with him (both kinds at the same time, in fact) through much of the section after the midway. So when I reached the final brown block wall in front of the goal for the first time, I already had a blue P-switch with me, so I just hit it and went through to the end. Maybe that's intended, but if so, kind of a disappointing ending.

On the positive side, I did like the hint progression for the midway.

Anyway, I'm glad people are experimenting with this genre in SMW, even if I don't always care for the results. The more of these get made, the more people will figure out what works and what doesn't. It took a while for kaizo to get really good too.

I am glad that at least the hint-based section landed well. regarding the ending, the only blue p-switch you should be able to carry through a pipe is the one right before the ending section (in the twice-twice of the hub), the troll is if the player hits it without looking to see that they don't need to. Taking a closer look, I think I can see how a player is able to cheese both a blue and silver switch early, which is especially easy to do with save states. I'll probably rework the last section to prevent that, and then I can see about making some of the other trolls a little less bland/unfair
