Tested With:
-Lunar Magic 3.33
-PIXI 1.32
-bsnes v115
-SA-1 1.40
-No More Sprite Tile Limits v1.2.1 (pretty much required for LoROM)

Changed tilemap to fix its grumpy expression (it didn't use a couple of provided tiles, with both eyes being mirrored, making it look rather goofy, you can see it in screenshots) and moved all tilemap related tables to the top so the user doesn't have to scroll down to edit them.

Aside from that, I noticed a few things. First, it'll hurt the player even when on Yoshi, and its vanilla hitbox that can damage yoshi is buried inside. Also, when on yoshi, bouncing off the top of it is more generous, allowing to bounce on it from the side, not really an issue, but an observation. Next, its palette can't be customized by editing config files, it uses hardcoded properties. Lastly, all the quirks present with vanilla thwomp also apply (like proximity wraparound).

Is there a Giant Thwomp that was placed in half units like a 48×64 version instead of a 64×64, like the ones in 100 Rooms of Enemies?

Major Flare Uhh, looking at the gif, I noticed the sprite slightly clips into the object, probably due to simply zeroing out the speed and that the sprite moves into the ground (rather than on it) before detecting if it hits the ground, resulting in something like this.

Is there an option to turn off the earthquake effects so that Mario doesn’t get stunned? It acts like a Giant Power Thwomp.

Comment the sty $18BD command. After this, the player shouldn't be affected by the quake.

Cool, now we need a
sideways and diagonal one?

The original giant thwomp wasn't submitted to SMWC section and doesn't have its upsidedown variants ignoring people editing them to have it. This one is pretty much a step up of the original.
