Description: | An amalgamate of a chuck and a thwomp, combining their powers into one entity. The "thwomp" part detects x position and the smash, while the chuck adds the jump and the movement. Extra bit gives the sprite more hitpoints, which can be useful for bosses. Extra Byte 1 changes it's x speed (08 by default) and Extra Byte 2 changes it's jump power. There's also a setting which allows the Thwompin Chuck to end the level if the extra bit is set (the "boss" mode). Unlike the 2022 Mad Scientist version, this one has more compressed graphics and no longer needs custom palettes. If for whatever reason you want the old version, seek the download found in the competition thread. Please give credit if used. Thank you. |

Added enemy, lorom and sa-1 tags. This is definitively an interesting (if a bit of a nightmare inducing) sprite. There are some optimisations here and there but I have no motivation to list them all out, lol.
One thing I did noticed is that you remove the SubOffScreen check for the boss version. The problem is that the Chuck must not fall into a gap, else it'll permanently disappear (unless you wait for 18 minutes) as SubOffScreen also handles sprites which despawn when they leave the level boundaries.
As an aside (gameplay review, independent of the moderation), the boss part of it is rather bad and should be better used as some kind of base for a more interesting boss battle.
