| Description: | THE MUSHROOM, ISSUE 1490 NEWS IN BRIEF FOR OCTOBER 3, 2022: AREA WOMAN RELEASES YET ANOTHER DAMN ROMHACK SEATTLE, WA--Following a statement released June 2022 regarding her impending retirement from Mario romhacking, local artist and self-described "anxious queer ghoul" margot announced today the release of her third romhack in as many months, proving yet again that she is a liar, a scamp, potentially a harlot, and--without question--a dangerously unreliable narrator. "SUPERSTAR is a collection of songs about niche notoriety and the art of self-delusion," said margot in a statement to reporters on the slug-laden stoop of her PNW home. "the first five levels can be completed in any order, and you can save your progress at any time by pressing select on the overworld." [Editor's Note: We have no idea what this means.] SUPERSTAR is themed entirely around star power, and promises to offer veteran players six levels of bizarre obstacles, frequent midways, and clumsy gimmicks coded entirely by margot herself. "My girlfriend and I grew a pumpkin, three large carrots, a boatload of parsley, and nine tomatoes this summer," she continued, "but I still had some some free time to spare after cultivating my garden, so I figured I might as well learn some assembly and release another romhack, especially since I already read Candide in university." *SUPERSTAR* - an EP by margot is out now on Wildheart Records, a Kaizo: Bitch Records subsidiary.
