Story: Dry Bowser has stolen the candies, and without them, people can't go trick-or-treating, because nobody has candy! It's up to Mario to defeat Dry Bowser and save Halloween! The hack has 2 versions: an English version and a Portuguese version. Update 1.1: Made some nerfs and minor changes to some levels and some other changes, such as adding autosave. Update 1.1.1: Two minor changes to two levels and translated two things in the Portuguese version. |

Took about an hour and a half to finish. Video of playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mYcoMRUIM4
Pumpkin Fields 1 = This entrance freezes on PSP SNES emulator.
I've just tried on the latest version of Snes9x (1.61) with both version of the hack and I don't get the freezing when entering pipes. My beta testers weren't having these issues either.
Looks like the hack is incompatible with the SNES Classic's default emulator (Canoe).
Edit*: After further play testing, was able to play without the same issue on blargSNES with no issues... until I got to the end of the second world first level, some weird issue occurred where the game slowed to a crawl and then crashed after entering the next level. I want to point out I also happened to get enough end of goal stars to do the 1-up mini-game, not sure if that had anything possibly to do with causing it, but wanted to also mention it, was the first time getting the mini-game in the hack thus far. Again, only pointing this out to hopefully help the author of this fantastic hack, really loving it, despite this issues I encountered.
Edit2* I tried replaying that first level of world 2 again and the same issue did not occur, so I believe getting enough stars at the end goal and doing the mini-game may have led to that issue on blargSNES emulator. Hope this information is helpful to author. I think this may be my favorite Halloween Mario hack ever, it really is that good! Wouldn't be posting this if it weren't haha, keep up the good work!!
Are you trying to load the .bps patch directly with the emulator or are you applying it to a clean SMW ROM with Floating IPS?
First 2 levels were nothing special, but after that, it gets more interessting and challenging. Levels are a bit too long maybe, but not too bad.
