Description: | This hack features 7 platforming focused levels. Additionally, a post-game special world is available containing the same 7 levels, but with a tight timer reflective of my fastest times when testing the levels. The primary 7 exits are beginner friendly mostly due to their shorter length, but some sections are more precise. The special world is intended to give a speedrun like challenge with a default goal for interested players. These exits are more difficult as the time crunch makes many of the obstacles much more precise. This hack also features 9 new custom music ports of songs by the saxophone duet Moon Hooch. - Retry prompt + Infinite Lives - Timer only status bar - On/Off double hit fix Update: An issue in the castle level was causing a door to lead to the wrong level sporadically, but consistently. I believe it was an instance of this smw central discussion on Doors and Sub-screen boundaries. I used 7 up's solution in the thread and the issue should be resolved. |

Great Hack! I finished it one time with no problems in the castle (blue door first). Decided to play again on a new save right after and went red door first and it sent me into a seemingly infinite loop and never sent me to the final section. The playthroughs were very enjoyable
The second room version of the blue room has a door on a subscreen boundary that sends you to the wrong room if you don’t enter it perfectly/from the right side. The first room version has custom door asm that (among other things) auto centers mario, making blue room first always work.
5 stars immediately for the music!!
(I am on the second level, I'll update once I finish the hack)
Finished the hack (any%?):
SUPER FUN! levels were diverse, well-paced , and intuitive leading to a enjoyable player experience!
Looking forward to any future content you put out!
Side note: would you be able to reach out to me about porting more Moon Hooch into SMW? I legitimately had that idea and could not figure out the music porting side of things for SMW, I have some Moon Hooch transcriptions ready to go. Maybe you can lead me in the right direction to being able to port music myself for SMW?
I am still so mind blown that two of my favorite things SMW Kaizo and Moon Hooch were combined for the ultimate crossover!
*One bug I ran into*
Regarding moon hooch and smw music, I cannot recommend the wakana music tutorial enough. I have a very solid, but basic, understanding of sheet music and music theory and I was able to go from there. I didn't really mess with sampling and that made it much easier. If you need more help past there, let me know in a pm or something
