** I could only see the last level in a VOD
That being said, the hack is laden with artificial difficulty, frustrating spawn dependency, tight spaces and particularly frustrating muncher/obstacle placement that rendered many levels painful to play. In every level, it felt like slight modifications could've been easily communicated in playtesting that would've made each level so much more enjoyable and playable. Having playtested numerous hacks for other creators, it was frustrating to see.
Other may enjoy this hack for all the hard work that went in but it was not for me.
I also found the custom block use excessive. It made levels difficult to read visually. In general, I felt not enough thought went into levels' readability. There is a fair bit of magic spawning stuff from the right side of the screen that the player has to just trust-fall on to. Things like the distracting falling lava in the shell level or the foreground blocking your view in the ghost house are very frustrating. I get that creators want their levels to look cool, but imo, clarity for gameplay has to come first.
Anyway, I hope this doesn't come across too harsh. I'm trying to be constructive. I love SMW, and appreciate all the effort hack creators put in that I could never do. So thanks for making regardless of my opinion.
