Description: | This simple HDMA code will make the OW layer 3 translucent without affecting the top and bottom edges of the OW border. Since it still affects the left/right edges, you'll probably want to remove them and use this patch. Uses HDMA channel 6. v1.1 update: - fixed code not working when entering the map via red path transition, and added compatibility with this - added instructions to make effect stop if going to a different map via red path transition |

A very simple patch. I would have liked it if you make it possible to allow the user to change the HDMA channel.In addition, there are more limitations with it, in particular layer 2 has got a similar priority as layer 1 (not different to transparent layer 3 background to layer 1, 2 and sprites) so sprites which go behind layer 1 (e.g. ghosts) go behind layer 2 as well and the HDMA isn't dynamic so the background is hardcoded to be transparent.
